Video: Danny Sabatello to Bellator 135ers after debut win over Brett Johns: ‘You’re all f*cked’

Danny Sabatello predicted he would dominate former UFC contender Brett Johns at Bellator 259 and now that it came to pass, he’s warning the entire Bellator bantamweight division.

“The Italian Gangster” took the opportunity to step in for Matheus Mattos on less than a week’s notice to face Johns at Mohegan Sun Arena and signed a multi-fight deal with the promotion. Sabatello made the most of the moment by using his superior wrestling credentials and relentless pacing to sweep all three judges’ scorecards to earn his fifth straight win and improve to 11-1 overall.

Following the victory, Sabatello joined MMA Fighting’s Mike Heck for an exclusive interview to recap the biggest win of his career over Johns, talks the tough road to the fight taking the bout on short notice and having to deal with COVID-19 protocols, having the fight play out exactly the way he had predicted it would, his post-fight callouts of Jornel Lugo and Josh Hill, why he believes “p*ssies” Patchy Mix, Leandro Higo and James Gallagher will duck him, keeping his eye on current champion Sergio Pettis and keeping his stance that he can take the title from him right now, Higo’s win over Darrion Caldwell, and more.
