Video: Israel Adesanya shares up-close look at UFC 263 prep in ‘Fight Camp’ series
Israel Adesanya’s next title defense is just around the corner and he’s showing everyone just how much work goes into each one of his fights.
“The Last Stylebender” meets Marvin Vettori in the main event of UFC 263 on June 12, a rematch of their April 2018 encounter that Adesanya won by split decision. This time it will be a five-round affair with Adesanya’s middleweight championship on the line.
Less than two weeks away from that fight, Adesanaya and his team have released a slickly-produced video going into the details of Adesanaya’s camp.
Watch the video above.
The footage shows Adesanya training all aspects of his game alongside his longtime coach, City Kickboxing boss Eugene Bareman, as well as the rest of the coaches and teammates that comprise his fight team.
Adesanya’s upcoming bout also presents an opportunity to rebound from his loss to light heavyweight champion Jan Blachowicz at UFC 259 in March. In an attempt to become a two-division champion, Adesanya fell short, dropping a unanimous decision and losing for the first time in MMA. He remains unbeaten at 185 pounds and he seeks a third consecutive successful defense of his UFC title.
