Logan Paul: ‘I love Dana White,’ please don’t confuse me for brother Jake
“Dana, take me back. I’m not Jake! Please. Bro, he’s given me tickets to go to UFC fights before.”
Dana White has hit out at YouTube brothers Logan Paul and Jake Paul after younger brother Jake called out just about everybody on the UFC roster — including White himself — following his highlight reel KO of Nate Robinson on the undercard of Mike Tyson’s exhibition boxing match with Roy Jones Jr. in November.
“Neither one of those guys can fight,” White said when asked of the Paul brothers. “It’s all a big gimmick. Like I said in a (recent) press conference, there’s a market for that. If people are dumb enough to spend their money watching that (expletive), I don’t know what to tell you.
“Good luck to them. I (couldn’t) care less what that guy (does). I get it. He’s trying to make some money and is doing his thing. There are people who want to spend money on that. I’m not that guy.”
Logan, who is set to fight Floyd Mayweather Jr. in an exhibition match on Feb. 20, has since responded to White by pleading with the UFC president to accept his apology.
Paul thinks White might be confusing him for Jake, who is reportedly set to take on retired MMA veteran Ben Askren in a boxing match of his own on March 28.
“He [Jake] pissed off Dana White,” Paul said on a recent episode of his podcast (h/t Abhinav Kini of Low Kick MMA). “Now Dana has grouped us together which sucks. I love Dana White, I love the UFC. Now Dana thinks we’re the same person.”
“We’re so different. I love the UFC fights. I want to do a UFC fight one day. I’m not saying now, let me get my skills up. Dana, take me back. I’m not Jake! Please. Bro, he’s given me tickets to go to UFC fights before. F*ck! F*ck! I love Conor McGregor dude.”
Paul, who has over 22 million subscribers on YouTube, will take on Mayweather on Feb. 20 at a TBD location.
