Reneau among three fighters facing 180-day medical suspensions
The recently retired bantamweight is one of three fighters from UFC Vegas 31 that could be out for six months.
Three fighters — Marion Reneau, Malcolm Gordon and Alan Baudot — may be away from competition for six months after their fights at UFC Vegas 31 last Saturday night.
Reneau fought against a returning Miesha Tate in the co-main event, where she was finished for the first time in her professional career by way of third-round technical knockout. She planned to retire from the sport after this fight regardless of the result, which she ultimately did. However, Reneau may have suffered a broken nose during the fight and that is why she received a 180-day medical suspension.
Joining Reneau are Gordon and Baudot, who both need to be medically cleared to compete again after suffering injuries in their preliminary fights against Francisco Figueiredo and Rodrigo Nascimento respectively. Gordon may have a broken right hand, while Baudot may have a broken nose.
The Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) released the medical suspensions from the event on Tuesday morning and they were distributed by mixedmartialarts.com.

Thiago Moises: Suspended until Sept. 1 and no contact until Aug. 17
Miesha Tate: Suspended until Aug. 8 and no contact until Aug. 1
Marion Reneau (nose): Must get nose x-rayed. Should result of X-ray come back positive, clearance from Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) doctor is needed or no contact until Jan. 14, 2022. Minimum suspension/no contest until Sept. 1 and no contact until Aug. 17
Rodolfo Vieira: Suspended until Aug. 8 and no contact until Aug. 1
Dustin Stoltzfus: Suspended until Aug. 17 and no contact until Aug. 8
Billy Quarantillo: Suspended until Sept. 1 and no contact until Aug. 17
Gabriel Benitez: Suspended until Sept. 16 and no contact until Sept. 1
Preston Parsons: Suspended until Sept. 1 and no contact until Aug. 17
Monsterrat Ruiz: Suspended until Sept. 1 and no contact until Aug. 17
Khalid Taha: Suspended until Aug. 8 and no contact until Aug. 1
Malcolm Gordon (right hand): Must get hand x-rayed. Should result of X-ray come back positive, clearance from orthopedic doctor is needed or no contact until Jan. 14, 2022. Minimum suspension/no contest until Aug. 8 and no contact until Aug. 1
Rodrigo Nascimento: Suspended until Aug. 17 and no contact until Aug. 8
Alan Baudot (nose): Must get nose x-rayed. Should result of X-ray come back positive, clearance from Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) doctor is needed or no contact until Jan. 14, 2022. Minimum suspension/no contest until Sept. 1 and no contact until Aug. 17
