Pam Sorenson debut vs. Roberta Samad, Andrey Koreshkov vs. Sabah Homasi added to Bellator 264

Pam Sorenson | Dave Mandel, Invicta FC

Former Invicta FC champion Pam Sorenson has her first Bellator booking.

Officials told MMA Fighting that Sorenson (8-3) will fight recent PFL competitor Roberta Samad (5-1) in a featherweight bout at Bellator 264 on Aug. 13 at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn. This will be Sorenson’s debut after vacating the Invicta FC featherweight title and signing with Bellator in July.

Sorenson has not competed since August 2019. In her most recent fight, she defeated Kaitlin Young by unanimous decision at Invicta FC 36 to win a vacant title. She has won three of her past four fights.

Samad most recently fought in the PFL. She defeated Moriel Charneski in her first fight of the 2019 PFL season, but failed to make weight for a fight with Sarah Kaufman and their bout was subsequently cancelled.

A welterweight bout between former Bellator champion Andrey Koreshkov (23-4) and Sabah Homasi (15-9) has also been confirmed by officials for the Aug. 13 card. The matchup was first reported by MMA Junkie.

Koreshkov is coming off of a first-round armbar submission win over Adriano Rodrigues at an AMC Fight Nights show in February, while Homasi is coming off of a knockout loss to Paul Daley in a thriller this past April.

Also officially added to Bellator 264 are a lightweight bout between Justin Montalvo (2-0) and Kendly St. Louis (3-4), and a heavyweight bout between Davion Franklin (3-0) and Everett Cummings (15-0, 1 NC).

Bellator 264 is headlined by a middleweight title bout between defending champion Gegard Mousasi and John Salter.
