Paige VanZant, Dan Lambert set for commentary duties at inaugural Gamebred FC event
Before Paige VanZant makes her second BKFC appearance, she’ll be handling commentary duties for Jorge Masvidal’s inaugural bare knuckle MMA event.
Promotional officials confirmed to MMA Fighting on Tuesday that VanZant will join American Top Team founder Dan Lambert in the broadcast booth for the first Gamebred FC event June 18 in Biloxi, Miss. The event will air on the BKTV app.
As of now, VanZant and Lambert are the only names officially confirmed for the broadcast.
In addition, officials tell MMA Fighting that former UFC heavyweight champion Frank Mir will be on commentary duties for future Gamebred FC events alongside VanZant. Due to a prior engagement, Mir’s promotional broadcast debut will not take place on June 18.
In the promotion’s first main event, former UFC and BKFC fighter Jason Knight will take on longtime MMA veteran Charles “Felony” Bennett. Fellow UFC veteran Brok Weaver is scheduled to compete in the co-main event, although the promotion is seeking an opponent for the former DWCS contract winner as former LFA fighter Brandon Jenkins will no longer compete for undisclosed reasons, sources told MMA Fighting on Monday.
