UFC Vegas 27 live blog: Rob Font vs. Cody Garbrandt
This is the UFC Vegas 27 live blog for Rob Font vs. Cody Garbrandt, the bantamweight headliner for Saturday’s fight card at the UFC APEX in Las Vegas.
The fight could determine the next person in line for a title shot in the UFC bantamweight division. Champion Aljamain Sterling is supposed to defend his title against Petr Yan sometime this fall after recovering from neck surgery.
Font (18-4) is fighting for the first time this year after reeling off three straight victories. He knocked out Marlon Moraes in his most recent appearance at UFC Vegas 17 this past December following decision wins over Ricky Simon and Sergio Pettis.
Garbrandt (12-3) is also fighting for the first time this year after winning a Performance of the Night bonus with a second-round knockout of Raphael Assuncao at UFC 250 this past June. The win snapped a three-fight skid for Garbrandt.
