UFC 250 results: Neil Magny out works Anthony Rocco Martin to win unanimous decision
Neil Magny has a reputation for an unreal work rate and it paid off in his UFC 250 fight against Anthony Rocco Martin.
“The Haitian Sensation” once again hammered the gas pedal with more and more output during each passing minute to hand Martin a unanimous decision loss after three rounds. The scorecards read 30-27, 30-27 and 29-28 with all three judges giving the fight to Magny.

Despite the outcome, Magny knows the scores didn’t reflect the back-and-forth fight that could have ended in a razor-close decision.
“I know I can do a lot better than that,” Magny said after his second straight win. “That was too close for comfort. I knew I had to step it up. It was just way too close for comfort for me. I don’t like that at all.”
Giving up reach and size to Magny didn’t seem to bother Martin at all as he used a potent striking arsenal to get the better of the early exchanges. Despite a reputation for his incredible activity, Magny seemed a little hesitant to pull the trigger after getting caught with a couple of stiff shots.
That changed as the time ticked away in every round with Magny starting to move forward with a little more aggression while trying to test Martin’s conditioning. Magny was able to rattle off a few leg kicks while constantly stalking Martin across the octagon.
In return, Martin was still connecting with a little more pop behind his punches but with each passing minute, he was beginning to fade. Magny looked to take advantage by really pouring on the pressure as he kept Martin on his back foot trying to avoid absorbing too many strikes.
While Magny dominated the final five minutes, he knew the first and second rounds could have gone either way but ultimately he got the nod on the scorecards. Magny is now 4-1 in his past five fights as he remains one of the toughest outs in the entire welterweight division.
