This is the UFC 250 live blog for Aljamain Sterling vs. Corey Sandhagen, a bantamweight main card fight on Saturday in Las Vegas.
The bout was recently designated a title eliminator by UFC President Dana White. Sterling has won six of his previous seven octagon bouts, most recently outpointing Pedro Munhoz. Sandhagen, meanwhile, has won all five of his UFC bouts and has only suffered one pro loss in 13 fights.

Round 1: Chris Tognoni is the third man in the cage for the people’s main event. Sterling comes out pressuring instantly. Sandhagen is moving but Sterling gets in on a takedown. They’re clinched on the fence and Sterling has a very sneaky back take! Sterling drags Sandhagen down and he’s got a choke! It’s across the chin and Sandhagen is in trouble Sandhagen is able to gut it out. Wow! Sterling is still on the back and fighting hands. Sandhagen tries to sit up to break the feet apart and Sterling snatches another rear-naked choke, and this one is under the chin! Sandhagen is in a world of trouble! The choke is locked in. Sandhagen is trying to stay alive but it’s a futile effort. Sandhagen taps one time before going to sleep. Dominant performance from Aljamain Sterling.
