UFC 250 live blog: Eddie Wineland vs. Sean O’Malley

This is the UFC 250 live blog for Eddie Wineland vs. Sean O’Malley, a bantamweight main card bout for Saturday’s fight card at UFC APEX in Las Vegas.

Former WEC champ Wineland most recently snapped a two-fight skid with a TKO of Grigory Popov. He looks to deflate the hype train of O’Malley, who remains unbeaten in 11 pro fights including three in the octagon.

Round 1: Herb Dean is the third man in the cage for the pay-per-view opener. Frenetic pace to start with both men throwing plenty of feints and strikes but nothing landed through the first minute. O’Malley is trying to work from the outside with kick while Wineland is closing the distance. Wineland lands a cracking right hand that makes O’Malley shake his head. O’Malley throws a flashy combo that doesn’t land but looks good. Out of nowhere O’Malley starches Wineland with a right hand! Wineland is completely unconscious and O’Malley walks off with an incredible highlight reel KO.
