Heavyweight Daniel Dubois sent Joe Cusumano to the canvas three times in the first round of their undercard meeting at Paul vs. Woodley, triggering a first-round TKO after Cusumano was unable to survive an onslaught from Dubois.

The British vet earned his stoppage victory at 2:10 when another overhand right knocked down Cusumano, who beat the 10-count on his first two trips south before a third took him out of the fight at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Cleveland.

“My dad told me in the dressing room to go for the first round, so I went for the first round,” Dubois said afterward, reflecting on his second straight knockout win after a knockout loss to Joe Joyce this past November cost him the British, Commonwealth, WBC Silver and WBO International heavyweight belts.

Heavyweights Dubois and Cusumano are both known for their right hands, and Cusumano landed a nice one early on. But he was quickly overwhelmed by a noticeable power difference, wincing as he kneeled on the mat and summoned the will to stand.

Check out the finish below.

Cusumano drops to 19-4 as Dubois improves to 17-1.
