James Vick books first matchup since parting ways with UFC, fights Andre Fialho at XMMA show on Jan. 30
James Vick’s is returning to action at the end of the month in his first fight since parting ways with the UFC.
Vick will face Andre Fialho for XMMA on Jan. 30, the promotion announced via Instagram on Wednesday. The event takes place in Palm Beach, Fla., and will be streamed for free on the XMMA website.
“The Texecutioner” looks to snap a four-fight losing streak. Vick was finished by Justin Gaethje, Dan Hooker and Niko Price, along with dropping a unanimous decision to Paul Felder before parting ways with the UFC after fighting out his contract. Prior to the current losing skid, Vick won nine of his first 10 octagon appearances.
Fialho, a Bellator and PFL veteran, will also look to get back on track. The 26-year-old has lost his last three, which includes an 0-2 run during the PFL’s 2019 season. In his most recent appearance, the AKA-trained fighter lost a unanimous decision to Antonio dos Santos Jr. at LFA 92 in October.
