Mikuru Asakura and Victor Henry continue to impress inside the RIZIN ring in Japan.

Asakura, brother of RIZIN bantamweight contender Kai Asakura, headlined Friday night’s RIZIN 21 in Hamamatsu, Japan, against promotional newcomer Daniel Salas, and got the stoppage — his third under the RIZIN banner — with a clean head kick late in the second round.

Asakura, who racked up an impeccable 7-0 record since joining RIZIN the Japanese promotion less than two years ago, was called up by former ONE Championship lightweight titleholder Kotetsu Boku after the contest.

Henry co-headlined the event against Masanori Kanehara, and secured a finish just 45 seconds into the second round, dropping the 37-year-old veteran with a pair of right hands and unloading four left hands before the referee mercifully ended the bout.

The Josh Barnett protege, who won the DEEP bantamweight belt last March, has now won back-to-back stoppages in RIZIN.

RIZIN 21 was a good night for the Souza family, as brothers Roberto Satoshi and Marcos Souza came out victorious in their challenges after ending 2019 with losses. Marcos knocked out Falco Neto in less than 90 seconds in a MMA fight.

Satoshi had a different task, though, as the jiu-jitsu black belt had 10 minutes to submit five different opponents in a jiu-jitsu exhibition elimination match otherwise he would be declared the loser. Satoshi used various techniques to tap Yuki Nakai, Edison Kagohara, Koji Shigemitsu, Hiroshi Shinagawa and Yua Kimura.
