One of the most eagerly anticipated fights of the Bellator Dublin event, Philip Mulpeter vs. Daniel Crawford, has been pulled from the card on the day of the fight.

Crawford has withdrawn from the contest for undisclosed reasons, MMA Fighting has learned. MMA Fighting has contacted Bellator for further information.

Both Crawford and Mulpeter officially made weight for the contest on Friday morning. SBG Port’s Mulpeter hit the scales at 155.4 pounds. Crawford registered his weight at 156 pounds for the clash.

Crawford (10-3-0) was considered a blue chip prospect when he was signed to Bellator last year. He tested himself against strong opposition since his debut, but came up short in both outings. He lost a decision to title challenger Pedro Carvalho at Bellator 200 before he suffered a submission loss to A.J. McKee at Bellator 212.

A veteran of the Irish scene, Mulpeter (10-6-0) was set for his second outing under the promotional banner today at Bellator Dublin. He made his debut in the Irish capital in September when he claimed a split decision win over Team Ryano’s Keith McCabe.
