Video: Bo Nickal improves to 2-0 with devastating one-punch KO at Island Fights 70

Bo Nickal didn’t need his incredible wrestling pedigree in his second amateur MMA bout.

The former, three-time NCAA national champion wrestler competed in a middleweight bout at Friday’s Island Fights 70 event in Pensacola, Fla., and quickly dispatched of opponent Billy Goode in less than a minute with a devastating one-punch KO.

Nickal shared a ringside view of the ferocious left hand that ended the fight, which you can watch below:

In his first amateur bout — which took place a little over a month prior — Nickal submitted David Conley in the first round with a guillotine choke at a Dean Toole Promotions event in Florida.

Nickal declared his intent to transition into the world of mixed martial arts following his dominant run through college, which ended with his third NCAA title in 2019 at Penn State, and has since opened an American Top Team affiliate gym in Pennsylvania.
