“If he did his homework, it’s going to be an amazing fight. But if he didn’t, I’m going to put his b*** ass away early.”

Kamaru Usman says Colby Covington could be in big trouble at UFC 268 if ‘Chaos’ isn’t prepared for a war on Saturday.

If Covington hasn’t made the necessary adjustments since their first fight, Usman has guaranteed an early stoppage victory in the rematch.

“I just want to say I’m blessed to be in this position, to be able to deliver another performance like we did the first time,” Usman, who broke Covington’s jaw in their first fight, said at the UFC 268 ceremonial weigh-ins on Friday (h/t MMA Fighting). “If he did his homework, it’s going to be an amazing fight. But if he didn’t, I’m going to put his b*** ass away early.”

Covington fired back by promising to ‘beat the brakes off Marty’ and become the first man to dethrone the reigning UFC welterweight champion.

“Tomorrow night, live on pay-per-view, I’m going to beat the brakes off Marty, I’m going to become undisputed champion,” Covington said to Joe Rogan. “I’m jumping on the Bang jet back to Miami as the pound-for-pound best fighter to ever do it, daddy.”

UFC 268: Usman vs. Covington 2 takes place later tonight, Nov. 6 at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
