Khamzat Chimaev sends a warning to Kamaru Usman following his victory over Colby Covington at UFC 268.

Khamzat Chimaev has simultaneously congratulated and warned Kamaru Usman following ‘The Nigerian Nightmare’s’ hard-fought unanimous decision victory over Colby Covington at UFC 268.

Chimaev first hinted at a December return against a top-ten opponent before sending a warning to the reigning UFC welterweight champion and pound-for-pound No. 1.

“December Rock ‘n’ roll baby who who who?”

“Congratulations good job bro @USMAN84kg I’m coming for you brother I’m coming @ColbyCovMMA @NateDiaz209”.

Chimaev, 27, is one of the most highly-touted prospects in the UFC. The Chechnyan-born Swedish fighter is undefeated at 10-0 (4-0 UFC) with ten straight stoppage victories. ‘Borz’ is fresh off a vicious first-round submission victory over Li Jingliang at UFC 267 in a win that saw him crack the welterweight top-ten.

Usman was asked about a potential matchup with Chimaev following his victory at UFC 268 but will leave it to his manager, Ali Abdelaziz, to decide his next opponent.
