Chimaev, 27, is one of the most highly-touted prospects in the UFC. The Chechnyan-born Swedish fighter is undefeated at 10-0 (4-0 UFC) with ten straight stoppage victories. ‘Borz’ is fresh off a vicious first-round submission victory over Li Jingliang at UFC 267 in a win that saw him crack the welterweight top-ten.
Usman was asked about a potential matchup with Chimaev following his victory at UFC 268 but will leave it to his manager, Ali Abdelaziz, to decide his next opponent.
