Woodley says he will get ‘I love Jake Paul’ tattoo today
“Yeah, I just feel like I should do it because it’s a solid thing to do. I’m going to do it on Saturday.”
Tyron Woodley appears to be a man of his word.
The former UFC welterweight champion plans to follow through with his “I love Jake Paul” tattoo bet and get inked up later today.
Woodley, 39, agreed to get the tattoo if he lost to Jake Paul in his boxing debut. ‘T-Wood’ lost the fight via split decision and doubled down on the bet when Paul offered him an immediate rematch following the fight.
“Tommy Fury should have never even been in position for the bag. I’m gonna just let the week go through and see what happens. I think the most sensible thing to do is run it back, I think I’m getting this tattoo Saturday, by the way. Yeah, I just feel like I should do it because it’s a solid thing to do. I’m going to do it on Saturday,” Woodley told Ariel Helwani in a recent interview (h/t MMA Fighting).
Woodley still isn’t sure where he will get the tattoo but guaranteed that it won’t be on his face or neck.
“I don’t know yet, I’m gonna think about it. Not neck, not face,” he said. “I should have put it across my f*cking knuckles. To me it’s like this, if a dude wants to pay me to whip his ass, since he supposedly ‘paid me and promoted the fight’, then I love you. Because you’re that dumb”.
Woodley was expected to get the tattoo immediately after the fight but didn’t commit. For this reason, Paul declined the rematch. The YouTuber now has his sights set on a bout with UFC ‘BMF’ champ Jorge Masvidal, whom he believes is the toughest matchup available for him right now.
“Jorge… Got some millions for you to fight. Is your daddy gonna let you come out? Gonna let you come out and play, daddy Dana? F—ng bitch. If he ever lets you out of that contract, I’m baptizing the f—k out of you.”
