BKFC champion Bec Rodriguez allegedly had her wedding gifts raided by a security guard.

BKFC champion Bec Rodriguez, formerly known as Bec Rawlings, recently married Adrian Rodriguez at a ceremony in Brisbane, Australia. However, the event was partly marred when the couple discovered their wedding gifts had been stolen.

It is alleged that a security guard for the wedding venue stole cards and gifts from a wishing well during the couple’s first dance (per 7 News). Those cards contained cash totalling over $750.

Rodriguez said she and her husband realized something was wrong days after the wedding when a guest spoke to them about something they had written in a card addressed to the happy couple. That’s when the Rodriguezes realized they hadn’t received that specific card.

Rodriguez then approached the venue and convinced the management to look back over CCTV footage of the wedding. That’s when they discovered that the wishing well had been robbed.

“It’s just the audacity of this guy, who we’ve hired to secure our stuff, and he’s actually stolen it,” Rodriguez said. “It’s quite disgusting, to be honest. It’s not something you should be dealing with a week after your wedding.”

This incident is now being investigated by police.

Rodriguez was a cast member on The Ultimate Fighter: A Champion Will Be Crowned in 2014. That show kickstarted the UFC’s strawweight division. Rodriguez was eliminated from that competition by Tecia Torres. She then lost to Heather Jo Clark in the finale.

In 2015 Rodriguez pulled off back-to-back wins over Lisa Ellis and Seo Hee Ham. She then lost her next four contests in the promotion and was ultimately released in 2018. In 2019 she signed for Bellator. She is 1-1 in Bellator with a win over Elina Kallionidou coming at last year’s Bellator 240.

After leaving the UFC Rodriguez also signed for Bare Knuckle Fighting Championships. She appeared on BKFC’s first ever event, beating Alma Garcia by TKO to win the inaugural BKFC featherweight title. She then defended that title against Britan Hart and Cecillia Flores.
