Sean O’Malley finally got to meet Conor McGregor.

Sean O’Malley finally got to meet one of his biggest inspirations in Conor McGregor at the Dallas Cowboys vs. Los Angeles Chargers NFL game in Inglewood, California last weekend.

Both fighters were recorded chatting during the game but, unfortunately, the sound was muted and fans were left guessing as to what was said.

O’Malley later revealed that ‘The Notorious’ was impressed with his performance at UFC 264 which saw ‘Suga’ put on a boxing clinic against a very durable Kris Moutinho.

The bantamweight talent also said it was ‘cool’ to finally meet McGregor in person.

“One thing he did say was that [my] last fight was a beautiful performance,” O’Malley revealed in a YouTube video (h/t Low Kick MMA). “Like dude, I have elite-level striking. I have some crazy shit that people just can’t do. An elite-level striker like Conor sees that. Izzy sees that. They’re fans of, not even me, (but) of just what I’m capable of doing.”

“So it was cool. It was cool finally meeting Conor. He was probably the only person that I really have taken a lot of inspiration from.”

McGregor is currently sidelined due to the broken leg he suffered in his trilogy fight against Dustin Poirier at UFC 264. The Irishman lost the bout via first-round TKO (doctor’s stoppage) and is expected to be out of action until mid-2022 at the earliest.

O’Malley is thought to be in negotiations for his next fight, although no opponent has been revealed as of yet. The 26-year-old is on a two-fight win streak against Thomas Almedia and Kris Moutinho, finishing both men via KO/TKO.
