Jake Paul issues ‘final’ message to Tommy Fury: ‘You’re too busy taking molly instead of taking fights’
Jake Paul apparently has run out of patience trying to book his next fight and is issuing an ultimatum to fellow Tommy Fury.
In a video takedown posted to Paul’s Twitter account, the social media star turned boxer used DMs, social media videos and even Google Trends to savage the half-brother of heavyweight boxing champ Tyson Fury.
Paul, who previously offered Fury $1 million for an eight-round fight, indicated he would move on from a potential fight if he didn’t get a yes soon.
“You’re too busy taking molly instead of taking fights,” said Paul, referring to footage of a bare-chested Fury celebrating his seventh pro boxing win on the undercard of the Paul vs. Woodley Showtime pay-per-view this past month.
Paul used Dillon Danis as an example of what not to do in trying to book a fight, referencing DMs he claimed to have sent and recent legal trouble with the Conor McGregor training partner.
“Dillon fumbled his bag, he didn’t want to fight, and guess what, I am never going to fight Dillon Danis – ever. He thought I was joking around – and now Dillon Danis is in jail. Tommy, do you want to end up in jail?”
Paul, who’s been called out by a bevy of top UFC and boxing stars, recently told The MMA Hour he has moved on from a rematch with Tyron Woodley, whom he said didn’t honor a bet to get an “I love Jake Paul” tattoo as the loser of their boxing match (Woodley denied reneging on the bet to MMA Fighting).
Fury called out Paul after his win this past month, and the two jawed at each other in the hallway of the arena after their respective wins. But since then, Paul has repeatedly indicated that Fury is holding up business. (A request for comment to Fury’s reps wasn’t immediately returned.)
On Wednesday, Paul delivered an expert-level troll to give Fury one last chance.
“Tommy, no one gives a f*ck about you if it wasn’t for your older brother, who I respect,” he said. “Or your catfish girlfriend. We all made you famous. ... Tommy, it’s like Eminem said: You only get one shot, do not miss your chance to blow, this opportunity comes once in a lifetime. Make the right choice.”
