UFC Vegas 33 headliners Uriah Hall and Sean Strickland made weight without issue on Friday morning in Las Vegas, but there were two misses on the scale including inaugural UFC flyweight champ Nicco Montano, who came in seven pounds heavy for her bantamweight bout against Wu Yanan.

Due to Montano’s overage at 143 pounds, or seven pounds over the maximum 136 pounds allowed for non-title bantamweight fights, the Montano vs. Yanan fight was cancelled, UFC officials announced just before the fighters faced off for pre-fight staredowns. The ex-champ weighed in with at least one hour left in the official weigh-ins and looked unsteady on the scale. She didn’t react to the miss and posed quickly on the scale before exiting the room.

Montano’s miss came one week before the release of a documentary that detailed her hospitalization as the result of a bad weight cut for her first scheduled title defense against now-champ Valentina Shevchenko at UFC 228. The fight was cancelled, and she was stripped of the flyweight title.

Montano’s miss was the third hiccup at the event after welterweight Philip Rowe came in heavy for a welterweight contest, weighing in at 173.5 pounds, or 2.5 pounds over the non-title welterweight limit. As a result, he was fined 20 percent of his show purse with the money going to his opponent, Orion Cosce.

Bantamweight Ronnie Lawrence also did not weigh-in for his fight with Trevin Jones. As a result, the fight was cancelled.

Strickland, the No. 13 middleweight in the MMA Fighting Global Rankings, was the first headliner to weigh in, coming in at 185 pounds on the nose for the middleweight fight with No. 10 Hall, who was 185.5 pounds.
