UFC rankings: Makhachev cracks top five at lightweight, McGregor drops again
There is a new title contender in the mix at 155 pounds.
UFC Vegas 31 had a lot of good fights. Eight of the ten bouts did not go the distance, and we got to see a returning former champion having her hand raised and a new title contender emerging out of the main event.
Islam Makhachev’s fourth-round submission win sees him moving well up at lightweight in this week’s rankings, which former champ Conor McGregor continues to plummet and is barely hanging in the top ten. The co-main event saw Miesha Tate re-emerge on the scene, and she took a prime rankings spot at women’s bantamweight already.
