Strawweights Randa Markos and Livia Renata Souza are reportedly headed to a UFC card on October 23.

The first bout for a UFC Fight Night card set for October 23 has been revealed. Per Combate’s report, strawweights Randa Markos and Livia Renata Souza will try to bounce back from their losses and have accepted to face each other at the event.

Currently on a four-fight losing skid, Markos (10-11-1) is could be fighting for her job when she faces Souza in October. In Randa’s last outing, Randa was disqualified due to an illegal upkick against Luana Pinheiro, in a defeat that came after losses to Kanako Murata, Mackenzie Dern and Amanda Ribas.

The 35-year-old’s last win happened in October 2019, when she defeated Ashley Yoder by split decision.

In a situation not as a dire as her opponent’s, Souza (14-3) just wants to avoid losing two fights in a row following a TKO loss to Amanda Lemos back in March. Before that. the 30-year-old had picked up a unanimous decision victory against the aforementioned Yoder, back in August 2020.

Now, Markos and Souza are reportedly headed to the UFC Fight Night 198 card, on October 23, in a location yet to be determined. So far, no main event or other bouts have been linked to this event, although the plan is for Fight Nights to be held at the APEX in Las Vegas for the rest of 2021.
