Bellator 263 video: Khasan Magomedsharipov, brother of Zabit, cruises to TKO in promotional debut

Look out featherweights: There’s a new Magomedsharipov to worry about.

Khasan Magomedsharipov, the 20-year-old younger brother of UFC contender Zabit Magomedsharipov, scored a dominant win Saturday night in his Bellator debut. Magomedsharipov, who like his brother is a slim but towering featherweight, demolished Jonathan Quiroz with a flurry of strikes at 4:21 of Round 2 in a one-sided fight on the preliminary card of Bellator 263.

An undefeated Dagestani who stands 5-foot-11 tall, Magomedsharipov (6-0) controlled the action both on the feet and on the ground, picking Quiroz (3-5) apart with a variety of kicks and rangy punches before taking the fight to the floor in both rounds. Sensing his advantages, Magomedsharipov methodically worked to his opponent’s back in Round Two before sealing the deal with a barrage of unanswered strikes to coax the stoppage.

“I am ready,” Magomedsharipov announced post-fight as Zabit smiled from his corner.
