This is the UFC Vegas 25 live blog for Dominick Reyes vs. Jiri Prochazka, the light heavyweight headliner for Saturday’s fight card at UFC APEX in Las Vegas.
The fight pits the No. 3 light heavyweight in Reyes against No. 5 Prochazka. The latter’s high ranking is thanks to a smashing octagon debut against top-ranked Volkan Oezdemir. But the bout is a matchup of veteran vs. virtual newcomer, with Reyes fighting to protect his spot atop the rankings and Prochazka trying to get his first crack at gold.
Reyes is trying to bounce back from the first two losses of his pro MMA career, which came back-to-back in title bouts. First, he suffered a controversial decision loss to now-former champ Jon Jones, and when Jones vacated the belt, he went on to suffer a knockout loss to current champ Jan Blachowicz.
