After eight intense rounds, Canelo Alvarez won the WBO super middleweight title against Billy Joe Saunders. Following eight rounds dictated by some brutal body shots by the Mexican, the Brit’s corner finally saw enough and called a stoppage to prevent further damage to what seemed to be a broken orbital bone.
