UFC Vegas 18 live blog: Frankie Edgar vs. Cory Sandhagen
This is the UFC Vegas 18 live blog for Frankie Edgar vs. Cory Sandhagen, the bantamweight co-main event for Saturday’s fight card at UFC APEX in Las Vegas.
Sandhagen returns to the cage after a highlight-reel win over Marlon Moraes in his previous appearance, which got him back in the win column after the first loss of his UFC career against Aljamain Sterling. Ex-lightweight champ Edgar returns six months after a decision over Pedro Munhoz, which snapped a two-fight skid at featherweight and solidified him as a bantamweight.
Round 1: Keith Peterson is the third man int he cage for the co-main event.
Edgar comes out pressuring early and Sandhagen seems content to move on the outside. OH MY GOD A FLYING KNEE FROM SANDHAGEN PUTS EDGAR OUT COLD!!!!!!!!!!!!
Edgar pressed forward and Sandhagen timed it beautifully. Edgar was out before his body hit the floor and he’s still down. WOW.
Edgar does appear to be okay and he makes it to stand for the official decision.
