Round 1: Ige mobile early as both measure distance. Ige comes in firing first with a combination, and then goes to the body. Kattar waiting for his opportunity to counter, and he draws another combo. So far, Kattar’s pressure is making Ige react, but he has yet to let his hands go. Finally, he begins to press a jab as he moves forward, and Ige goes to the body again. First inside combo from Kattar appears to land. Another nice combo, and Ige shoots from the open. He misses, and Kattar makes him pay with a couple of shots overhead. Now the game of getting around Ige’s legs, and Ige eventually vaults up and resets. Front kick to the face from Kattar. Ige’s right eye is marked up. Nice counter right from Ige, and Kattar comes back to rengage. Kattar catches a body kick and deposits Ige on the mat with a trip. He pounds overhead and rips the body as Ige gets up. Trade of kicks, and Kattar again pressure in. Ige makes him eat a straight right with short time, and Kattar leaps in with a knee and lands several hard shots to the body to end the round.

MMA Fighting scores the frame 10-9 for Kattar.

Round 2: Feints from both at distance in center cage. Both slightly tentative to start the frame. Ige leads with a body shot, and Kattar comes back for a counter. Ige withdraws, but Kattar sticks his own body shot. Jab and front kicks from Kattar to measure distance, and he counters well as Ige gets in close. Ige hooks to the body and head for a good connection, and Kattar’s nose is bloodied. Ige is getting more aggressive, charging forward with hooks to the body and head. Kattar is chasing him, but not finding his range as well this round. Still moving forward, Kattar jabs his way in as his face increasingly shows the damage Ige’s punches have done. Big combo from Kattar sets up a leaping knee, and both wear big shots as Ige careens across the octagon. Ige ends the round going low to the legs as time runs out.

MMA Fighting scores the frame 10-9 for Ige, and it’s 19-19.

Round 3: Ige more aggressive to start the middle frame, pushing back Kattar with jabs to the body and kicks. Kattar defuses one approach with a low kick and goes back to work with his jab. He’s now drawing leg kicks from Ige, who eats a straight shot when he presses back. Ige draws Kattar into a counter and lands a couple of nice combos. Kattar back to his jab, and he again finds his target. Bid hooks to the body. Both sit down on and land right hands, and Ige momentarily dives for the legs. Kattar on the chase, and Ige points at the canvas. Kattar pressuring again, using his jab and drawing leg kicks. Ige draws a few more charges, but each time, he works the body or answers Kattar with his own shots. Again, they sit down on rights and Ige covers his eye. He comes back after Kattar, who’s right eye has started to bleed.

MMA Fighting scores the round 10-9 for Ige, who’s up 29-28.
