Check out the betting odds for Saturday’s UFC Fight Island 2 card, where Deiveson Figueiredo is favored over Joseph Benavidez in their vacant flyweight title fight rematch.

UFC Fight Island 2 is upon us tonight, July 18th, and the main event will hopefully crown a new flyweight champion when the #1 ranked, Deiveson Figueiredo, and the #2 ranked, Joseph Benavidez, run it back. Bloody Elbow here with the betting lines for this rematch as well as the rest of the Fight Island 2 card.

Okay, before we get to the odds there’s kind of a lot to unpack as to why the UFC doesn’t have a flyweight champ. In a nutshell, Cejudo vacated the title so Figueiredo and Benavidez were to fight for the vacant belt this past February in Norfolk, Virginia. Deiveson missed weight, but they still fought with Joe being the only one eligible to win the belt. An accidental headbutt happened in the second round, and then Figueiredo got the knockout. Got all of that? Good! Let’s get to the odds.

The oddsmakers are strongly favoring the winner of the first match here. A straight up wager on Figueiredo comes at a cost of -215, which is a far cry from his underdog line of +125 he held in their first fight. As for Joey B. he can be found in the underdog realm, being served up at value of +195. Benavidez was a -155 betting favorite in his first fight with Fig.

The over/under for this UFC flyweight championship bout has been set at 4.5 rounds. The ‘Under’ option can be found at a favored tick of -162, with a +147 comeback on the ‘Over.’ Benavidez vs. Figueiredo 1 ended in the second round, and the bookies are banking on this one ending early too. The prop bet ‘Fight doesn’t go to decision’ can be found with a favored label of -165, leaving the bet ‘Fight goes to decision’ as a +147 underdog choice.

The bet-setters also foresee Figueiredo coming up with another finish. With a betting line of -130, ‘Figueiredo wins inside distance’ is favored over ‘Not Figueiredo inside distance’ at -110. The perennial contender in Benavidez is deemed much less likely to end this one before the end of the fifth round. With a value of +565, ‘Benavidez wins inside distance’ is a massive underdog to a -1095 moneyline for ‘Not Benavidez inside distance.’
