Whittaker entered this matchup on a six-fight win streak, but Jacare was considered to be his greatest test yet. “The Reaper” took the fight right to the 14-year veteran, eventually landing a head kick that allowed him to swarm for the finish in round two.

In his next fight, Whittaker defeated Yoel Romero for the interim UFC middleweight title and was later promoted to undisputed status.

This Saturday, Whittaker fights Darren Till in the middleweight main event of UFC on ESPN 14 in Abu Dhabi.
