In a rivarly that has gone on for years, Colby Covington and Tyron Woodley are still going at it.

Colby Covington vs. Tyron Woodley was close to being signed on for a UFC event next month, but according to Covington the former champion Woodley pulled out the fight.

The outspoken and highly controversial Covington posted a picture on Wednesday of a bout agreement for a fight against Woodley. The matchup was set to headline a Fight Night card on August 22nd.

“This was supposed to be your main event August 22nd on ESPN until Tyrone did what his daddy should’ve and pulled out... AGAIN!” Covington wrote on Instagram.

Covington and Woodley have exchanged words for years, but a fight between the two welterweights has never materialized. Woodley is currently on a two-fight losing skid, the most recent being a one-sided decision loss to Gilbert Burns in May. Meanwhile, Covington suffered his first loss in years last December to current champion Kamaru Usman.

Woodley recently told ESPN he would fight Covington around September - October time. The 38-year-old said he believed Covington was bluffing again because he’s turned down opportunities to fight him in the past.

“I literally treated it like every other bluff and told them quit contacting me until this b---- signed a bout agreement,” Woodley said. “Never thought he would sign. September/October, I’ll get around to exterminating that roach. Let me call the UFC and see what’s crackin.”
