Cage Warriors announces return with ‘Trilogy’ series of events in September
Cage Warriors is coming back in a big way.
The English promotion announced Friday that it will hold events on three consecutive days at the end of September featuring four of its champions in action. These events are being dubbed “The Trilogy,” according to a press release and are scheduled as follows:
Cage Warriors 114 — Sept. 24
Cage Warriors 115 — Sept. 25
Cage Warriors 116 — Sept. 26
The Sept. 24 show will be the first Cage Warriors event to take place since March 20. That show took place behind closed doors due to the coronavirus outbreak, which also led to the cancellation of several scheduled events from April to July. The September shows will also take place behind closed doors with no fans in attendance due to COVID-19 precautions.
No bouts were made official Friday, but the promotion did announce which fighters are expected to compete at the three shows, including lightweight champion Mason Jones, bantamweight champion Jack Cartwright, middleweight champion Nathias Frederick, and flyweight champion Samir Faiddine.
The following names will also be in action: Rhys McKee, Adam Proctor, Luke Shanks, Morgan Charriere, Paddy Pimblett, Jack Grant, James Webb, and Ian Garry.
All three September events will take place at BEC Arena in Manchester, with broadcasts available in North America on UFC Fight Pass.
