Video: Staffers clean UFC 249 octagon between fights

Journalists cageside at UFC 249 could see the UFC’s safety protocols in action.

Check out video of UFC staffers appearing to clean the octagon between fights. The promotion has taken extensive measures to protect fighters and staffers, with the latter wearing masks and gloves as they spray the octagon canvas with an unknown substance.

Other video from the arena showed the unique setup for the pay-per-view event at VyStar Veteran’s Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Fla. Ex-UFC champ and commentator Daniel Cormier led fans on a tour of his work space and the arena for the night.

Cormier, longtime commentator Joe Rogan and Jon Anik are on duty for the event, and lone ring card girl Britney Palmer is on duty.
