Watch Jon Jones vs. Andre Gusmao full fight video to watch a 21-year-old Jones defeat Gusmao in his octagon debut at UFC 87 on Aug. 9, 2008, in Minneapolis.

In his first UFC appearance, “Bones” showed flashes of the fighter who would become a two-time undisputed light heavyweight champion and eventually compile a 26-1 (1 NC) record that includes wins over the likes of Mauricio “Shogun” Rua, Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, Daniel Cormier, Rashad Evans, Alexander Gustafsson, Lyoto Machida, and many other notable names.

Jones utilized his wrestling background, but also threw several spinning techniques at Gusmao. His performance was enough to earn him a unanimous decision and his first UFC win.
