Check out the betting odds for a potential MMA match between New York Mets pitcher, Marcus Stroman, and recently fired NASCAR driver, Kyle Larson.

A MLB pitcher for the New York Mets, Marcus Stroman, was not too happy with recently fired NASCAR driver Kyle Larson following the motorsports athlete dropping the “n-bomb” on a live stream. So, Stroman decided to challenge Larson to a UFC fight to teach him a lesson. Naturally, Bloody Elbow is here to provide the betting odds for such a potential spectacle.

Online gambling site SportsBetting.ag just released the opening moneylines for these possible crossover athletes. The oddsmakers like them some Stroman, making him a heavy betting favorite with a starting mark of -500. As for Larson, he is left in the underdog role, clocking in at a value of +300. No props for this possible collision have been released.

According to Wikipedia, Larson is 5’ 6” and weighs 135-pounds, while Stroman stands 5’ 8” and tips the scales at 180-pounds. There would have to be some sort of catchweight agreed upon if sanctioning is to be done in the typical mainstream MMA locations. Perhaps Japan could be a prime spot for a freak show fight?

As far as athleticism goes, it’s kind of a tricky thing to assess. What physical attributes are most developed in race car drivers? I legitimately don’t know so I’m kind of unsure of how well racing athletics would translate in a meaningful way into MMA. On the other hand, a MLB pitcher is amongst the world’s most qualified non-combat sports athlete when it comes to throwing a hand with tremendous velocity. A pitcher’s fastball can quite easily translate into a knockout punch... if it lands.

It’s pretty clear why the bookies label Stroman as the one most likely to get the win in a potential scuffle.
