The blue corner is up today for our BE’s BADDEST Tournament Series to figure out what is the single Greatest MMA Fight Of All Time — that one to watch before the world ends. Today we have the #2 seed, Mark Hunt vs. Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva 1, colliding with the #7 ranked, Kazushi Sakuraba vs. Royce Gracie 1.

In yesterday’s tournament matchup, the red corner had #2 Robbie Lawler vs. Carlos Condit duking it out with #7 Eddie Alvarez vs. Michael Chandler 1. Lawler vs. Condit absolutely decimated their opposition, earning 29 votes to Alvarez vs. Chandler’s six. Lawler/Condit now moves on to face the #1 seed, Weili Zhang vs. Joanna Jedrzejczyk, in the next round of the tournament.

For today’s matchup, we’ve got an epic five-round heavyweight draw up against a ‘no time limit’ clash of icons that ended with a corner stoppage. One took place in the UFC with the other occurring nearly 20-years ago in PRIDE FC.

Mark Hunt vs. Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva 1 took place at UFC Brisbane on December 6, 2013 and ended in one of the greatest draws of all time. Both men scored knockdowns, both did big damage, both bled, and both men left everything in the Octagon that night. This was a grueling war with tons of momentum swings, haymakers, and a healthy dose of plasma. This was truly special.

Kazushi Sakuraba vs. Royce Gracie 1 went down at PRIDE Grand Prix 2000 Finals on May 1, 2000 and ended via corner stoppage and took ALL of the minutes. You kind of have to respect this for what it was. It was two grappling icons, no time limit, and Royce in the gi. Sakuraba was quite familiar with the Gracie family, and this is the night that he added Royce to his list. It definitely has some slow moments, but there’s also some top shelf technique on display in a highly competitive affair.
