New details emerge on Tuck sex assault accusations

New details on Jon Tuck’s sexual assault case have emerged, as formal charges are filed.

On Monday, reports out of Guam claimed that former UFC fighter Jon Tuck was arrested on suspicion of sexual assault. A day later, new details of the case have emerged, including statements from his accuser.
In a report by Guam’s Pacific Daily News, an unidentified 21-year-old woman claimed — through a complaint filed in the Supreme Court — that the assault happened in the early morning of March 4th at Jardee’s, a local Vietnamese restaurant.
Court documents claim that, after the woman finished eating, a man — later identified as Tuck — approached her in the hallway, grasped her by the wrist and lead her to a parking lot. The documents claim she asked where they were going and that Tuck replied, “Don’t worry about it.”
According to the court filings, the woman said she thought they were going for a smoke. She claimed Tuck brought her to the far right corner of the “Pearl by the Sea” chapel and then pushed her against a wall. There, she claims, Tuck undressed and raped her.
The woman said that after the suspected assault took place, Tuck identified himself and said, “No one can know due to my work.”
After this incident the woman said she put her clothes back on and returned to the restaurant to meet a friend. Court documents state that the friend then confronted Tuck. This interaction was captured on video.
Reportedly, the video includes the friend telling Tuck, “She was not expecting you to pull her pants down and stick your (expletive) (expletive) inside her.”
Per the complaint, Tuck responded by saying, “I did not just go straight up into that, we were playing around.”
The woman’s friend told investigators that when the woman returned to the restaurant she looked frightened. The friend said she witnessed the woman shivering and crying uncontrollably in the restroom, stating that Tuck had raped her.
Tuck was charged with four counts of third-degree criminal sexual conduct as second-degree felonies, and two counts of fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct as misdemeanors. He was eventually released on a $20,000 bond.
Guam’s Office of the Attorney General (OAG) made a statement regarding Tuck’s release:
“The court, not the Office of the Attorney General, decides whether to confine or release a defendant while awaiting trial. In this case, based on the seriousness of crimes that are alleged against defendant Tuck, the OAG asked that he be confined unless he was able to post bail. The court denied the OAG’s request. The OAG is disappointed with the court’s decision.”
The 35-year-old Tuck (11-5, with ten wins by stoppage) spent five years in the UFC and held a 4-5 record. He last competed last December during Bellator and Rizin’s cross-promoted fight card in Saitama, Japan. Tuck won via first-round knockout.
