Covington on Joanna: ‘She used to be the boogiewoman, now she’s the boobie woman’

Another day, another bombastic Colby Covington statement.

We all know by now that UFC welterweight Colby Covington will say almost anything to keep his name in the news. He has gone way over the line while insulting a litany of current and former UFC fighters, and is desperately trying to stay relevant after getting badly beaten and finished by champion Kamaru Usman late last year.

So, as a guest on a recent Submission Radio show, he took aim at Joanna Jedrzejczyk.

Joanna, who is coming off one of the best fights in the history of the UFC when she narrowly lost to Zhang Weili at UFC 248, has been black and blue ever since the battle. Since there is still some buzz about the awesome fight and her recovery, Colby went after the fellow American Top Team member with a little gossip and a bunch of insults:

“As far as Joanna Jedrzejczyk, you know, (Jorge Masvidal’s) little sidepiece, they got a little fling going on right now, I could give a f—k less about her. She’s washed up, nobody cares about her. She used to be the boogiewoman, now she’s the boobie woman. Look at her face. She got her face rearranged, and I called it.

“In the beginning of the week, the week before her fight, I put a video saying ‘hey guys, Joanna wants an apology from me, so here I am for my apology’. Joanna, I’m sorry. I’m sorry that you had to get your face rearranged and everybody’s going to get rich. And that’s exactly what happened, I got rich. I made a Rolex off of Joanna Jedrzejczyk’s b—ch ass.”

Covington had recently been tied to a replacement bout with Tyron Woodley when UFC London was scratched, but obviously that didn’t come to fruition. Hopefully we don’t have to hear anything else from him for a while.
