Conor McGregor earns $3 million payday for return fight at UFC 246

Conor McGregor remains the highest-paid fighter on the UFC roster even before he takes home his pay-per-view bonuses.

The Irish superstar, who makes his return to action for the first time in 15 months when he competes in the UFC 246 main event on Saturday, will take home a disclosed $3 million payday for his fight against Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone.

The salaries are courtesy of the Nevada State Athletic Commission.

McGregor’s salary is the same figure he made for his last fight against Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 229 in October 2018.

Once he reaps the benefits of the pay-per-view sales, McGregor’s final salary will likely skyrocket to a much higher total number. McGregor speculated earlier this week that he would take home around $80 million for the fight but the UFC does not disclose total pay after the pay-per-view sales are figured.

As for Cerrone, he will earn $200,000 guaranteed with another $200,000 if he’s victorious in the fight with McGregor.

In the co-main event, former champion Holly Holm will take home $150,000 for her fight with another $50,000 earned as a win bonus if she’s victorious in her rematch with Raquel Pennington.

Meanwhile, Pennington will earn $63,000 to show and another $63,000 if she wins.
