The A-Side Live Chat: UFC 238, Henry Cejudo, Khabib Nurmagomedov vs. Dustin Poirier, Alexander Gustafsson & King Mo’s retirements, more

This is The A-Side Live Chat on MMA Fighting.

This week, José Youngs will be joined by MMA Fighting’s E. Casey Leydon.

The two will preview this weekend’s UFC 238 card, which will go down Saturday at United Center in Chicago. The show is set to be headlined by a vacant bantamweight title scrap between flyweight champion Henry Cejudo and the surging Marlon Moraes. What does a win for Cejudo do for the flyweight division? What will a loss do to their careers? Who is the most logical contender after this superfight?

We’ll also look at the recent announcement for UFC 242’s main event featuring the lightweight title fight between champion Khabib Nurmagomedov and interim champion Dustin Poirier in Abu Dhabi. Are fight fans finally getting the lightweight title fight they deserve? Will Nurmagomedov cement himself as the best lightweight on the planet or will Poirier solve the riddle and hand him his first professional loss? Who should the winner fight next? Conor McGregor? The winner of Tony Ferguson vs. Donald Cerrone?

Also on tap, there’s been a slew of retirement announcements, including Alexander Gustafsson, Jimi Manuwa and Muhammed “King Mo” Lawal. How will you remember their careers? What are some of their most memorable moments from inside the cage and/or ring?

There is plenty to discuss, so join us to rap on all of the above and much more. As we always say, this is your show, so we will talk about whatever it is you want us to talk about. The chat will start at 1 p.m. ET/10 a.m. PT.

As always, we’ll post the video window as the event draws near and answer any questions you might have if you post them in the comments below. For the comments you deem the most deserving, please click the “rec” button. Comments in green will get first priority.
