RECIPE: Cacao Bliss Chocolate Waffles

Chocolate for breakfast makes us feel like kids again. But, in actuality, it is a very adult move when you use the Cacao Bliss we put in the January box.

It was late 2015 when Danette May visited Costa Rica.

“I fell in love with their cacao rituals and concoctions they made me,” she recalls. “I’d always known about the incredible health benefits of raw cacao, but after that trip I knew it was my mission to educate the rest of the world on how amazing raw cacao and superfoods really are.”

Raw cacao is one of the healthiest foods on the planet. Unfortunately, most mass producers put it through heavy processing, which allows them to produce it at a lower cost, meanwhile stripping out 300-plus phytonutrients and most of the nutrition inside it.

“Our raw cacao doesn’t go through this process. Instead it gets ‘kissed by the sun,’ to preserve the nutrients and deliver an amazing taste. We then added a special blend of superfoods to enhance its ability to heal your body,” she  says.

You’ll want to kiss the chef once these waffles hit the plate. They are chewy, fluffy and delicious, with a great, intensely chocolate flavor that will pack in tons of energy for the day.

Ingredients:

• 1 Serving Chocolate Protein Powder
• 2 Eggs
• ½ cup (60g) Brown Rice Flour or Oat Flour
• 1 tsp. Cacao Bliss
• 1 tsp. Baking Powder (Optional)
• Up to 1 cup (240 ml) Water Until Mixture Is Correct Consistency (Not Too Thin)
• ½ Sliced Banana (Optional)

Directions:

Mix all dry ingredients together.

Mix wet ingredients together.

Blend wet and dry ingredients gently. Careful not to over mix.

Place mixture on greased hot griddle for pancakes or on a greased hot waffle maker for waffles.

If desired, top waffles with fresh sliced banana and a drizzle of pure maple syrup.

Yields 4 waffles

  1. Cacao Bliss Reviews 2020 - Check What People Say

I can't believe the negative reviews. From the moment I first tried this, I haven't gone a day without it! Granted, I was already used to raw cacao bliss reviews and dark chocolate, so for me the flavor is just right. Not too sweet at all and definitely not watered down.
