Video: Eryk Anders hopes to be rebooked vs. Ed Herman or Antonio Arroyo after UFC 263 win
Eryk Anders returned to the win column at UFC 263, putting a bow on his unanimous decision victory with a strong third round.
“Ya Boi” took on Darren Stewart in a light heavyweight preliminary matchup at the UFC’s most recent PPV event and, after an unintentional illegal knee led to a no contest in their first meeting in March, is officially putting Stewart in the rear view mirror.
Anders is now unbeaten in four of his last five appearances, including a first-round finish of Vinicius Moreira, as well as a split decision win over Gerald Meerschaert.
In an exclusive interview with MMA Fighting’s Mike Heck, Anders recapped his performance in front of a packed house in Glendale, Ariz., finding a second gear in the final round of the fight, the impact training at Fight Ready has had on him, the addition of Mark O. Madsen to the team, his humble beginnings from borrowing suits for University of Alabama functions to now being financially responsible, wanting to return at the end of the year, and hoping to be rebooked against previously matched opponents Ed Herman or Antonio Arroyo.
